Bosch Ignition Distributor Specialist
Master craftsmen in Bavaria restore your original Bosch distributor to factory specification — bench-tested to 8,000 RPM, certified, and shipped back to you anywhere in the world.
The Bosch ignition distributor controls the firing sequence of your engine — distributing high-voltage current to each plug at exactly the right moment, while mechanically advancing timing in response to speed and load.
When it wears, the symptoms range from rough idle and misfire to power loss and cold-start failure. Most workshops fit an aftermarket unit. We restore your original — to factory specification, documented and certified.
We work exclusively with Bosch distributors: the dominant ignition system on European classics from the 1950s through the 1990s, and on many American V8 applications.
Five steps. No phone calls required. No commitment until you approve the quote. Click each step to learn more.
Fill in our short online form — your vehicle make, model, year, and distributor part number if you have it. You receive a ticket number and packing instructions by email within one working day. No phone call, no waiting.
Use any standard parcel carrier — DHL, FedEx, UPS, Royal Mail, USPS, Australia Post. Pack the distributor securely, insure it for its value, and send it to our workshop in Gundremmingen, Bavaria. We receive shipments from any country. No special paperwork required for most destinations.
On arrival, we run a complete benchmark measurement on our test bench: axial shaft play, dwell angle, vacuum and centrifugal advance curves, condenser capacity — every parameter against OEM specification. You receive the written diagnosis protocol and a detailed restoration quote. You decide whether to proceed. If you decline, we return the distributor at no further cost.
Once you approve, we begin. Complete disassembly. Ultrasonic cleaning. Glass bead blasting. Every wear surface measured to 0.01 mm. Worn components replaced — or, if NOS parts don't exist, machined in-house on our conventional lathe. Period-correct surface finish. Reassembly and advance curve calibration to factory spec. Then the final bench test.
Your restored distributor is returned in protective packaging together with a printed test certificate documenting every measured parameter — before and after restoration — against original Bosch OEM values. This is your proof of quality, and a permanent record for your vehicle's history file.
Every restoration ships with a printed OEM-format test certificate — the same format used by Bosch quality assurance. Every measured parameter, before and after. No other restorer in the world offers this.
Sending a precision part abroad sounds complicated. It isn't. Here's exactly how it works, and what you need to know.
"Sent my Porsche 904 distributor from Switzerland — nobody else would touch it. Radspieler machined the worn bushing in-house and returned it with a complete OEM test protocol. Runs perfectly. Outstanding work."
"Shipped from the UK. Communication in English throughout, fast turnaround, and the test certificate is exactly what I needed for the car's history file. The engine idles smoother than it has in years."
"My 1952 Mercedes Ponton had a rare pre-war-style distributor. After years of misfiring and rough running, the car starts first turn and runs like new. The printed test report documents everything. Exceptional."
"Sent my Porsche 930 Turbo distributor all the way from the US. The process was easy — the ticket form is clear, packing instructions were helpful, and they communicated in English throughout. Worth every cent."
"My W113 Pagode had been misfiring under load for two years. Two other shops failed to fix it. Radspieler found the worn shaft bushing immediately, machined a replacement, and the car now pulls cleanly to redline. Remarkable."
"My Maserati Indy has a very specific Bosch distributor — impossible to find as a replacement anywhere. Radspieler restored the original completely and the advance curve is spot on. Shipped to Italy without any issues."
Not every distributor needs a full restoration. If you know what you need — condensers, contact sets, advance springs, shaft bushings, rotors, caps — our online parts shop ships worldwide direct from Germany.
All parts are sourced to original Bosch specification. Many are OEM or NOS stock. We do not sell generic aftermarket substitutes.
